Dennery All Stars vs Central Castries All Stars
Saturday 07 June 2008 was the date of an exciting football encounter between youthful and enthusiastic Dennery All Stars and experienced Central Castries All Stars.
For the first time in more than twenty years, in the history of St. Lucia football, Dennery began the game as favourites over central Castries.
And I Ask the Question. Is this an indication of how far Dennery football has come over the years or how much Castries football has decline? In my humble view, the answer, quite evenly poised.
Over the years Dennery football has matured tactically, Today’s generation of Dennery footballers have understood their roles and responsibilities better. This I attribute to coaching and the tube television. Castries on the other hand due to poor organisation have failed the keep the youth interested in the sport thus unable to replace their tired horses. Continue>>
